bubur lambuk

Bahan A (dikisar)
• 1 sudu besar jintan manis
• 1 inci halia
• 1 ½ sudu besar jintan putih
• 2 ulas bawang putih
• 4 ulas bawang merah
• udang kering (dimesin)
• ½ cawan kacang tanah (digoreng)
• lada sulah
• kerisik
Bahan B
• 2 cawan beras
• ¼ kilo daging lembu
• 1 cawan udang basah
• daun sup dan daun bawang
• bawang goreng
• daun kucai
• air rebusan daging
• lobak merah (dipotong dadu)
• kacang pis
• garam
Bahan penumis
• 1 kuntum bunga lawang
• 4 kuntum cengkih
• 1 inci kulit kayu manis
• 2 biji buah pelaga
Cara-cara membuatnya
1. Tumiskan bahan penumis hingga wangi. Kemudian masukkan bahan A. Goreng hingga kekuningan.
2. Masukkan kerisik, udang kering, kacang tanah, daging dan udang. Kacau dan biarkan sekejap.
3. Masukkan sedikit air rebusan daging dan biarkan mendidih.
4. Campurkan garam, lada sulah, beras dan air mengikut sukatan beras untuk membuat bubur.
5. Masukkan lobak merah dan kacang pis dan masak sehingga bubur kembang.
6. Taburkan daun sup, daun bawang, daun kucai dan bawang goreng.

TIPS MENGATASI MASALAH PERUT BUNCIT

 Aduh!! Perut sudah buncit. Itulah…dulu tak jaga betul2. Sekarang menyesal tak sudah. Iyalah..orang lain pakai baju apa saja pun serba kena, tapi kita pakai baju macam mana pun serba tak kena. Kecuali T-Shirt labuh atau apa saja pakaian yg bersaiz XL atau lebih teruk XXL. Kalau pakai jeans pun tak muat! Selalu sendat di perut sehingga nampak menggelembung. Sebenarnya perut buncit dialami oleh banyak orang disebabkan faktor diet yg tidak betul dan juga gaya hidup. Jangan risau. Anda bukan keseorangan mengalami masalah ini. Di sini ada cara untuk mengatasi atau mengurangkannya. Tips berikut sangat sesuai bagi sesiapa yg merasakan dirinya boroi!

Minum Banyak Air

Jika perut penuh disebabkan oleh penyimpanan air, anda sebenarnya dapat mengurangi masalah tersebut dengan minum air lebih banyak. Hal ini akan mencairkan konsentrasi sodium/garam dalam tubuh sehingga meningkatkan jumlah air yang dikeluarkan dari sistem tubuh. Minum lebih banyak air juga menjamin fungsi hempedu efektif untuk mengeluarkan bahan toksin. Jangan kurangkan pengambilan air ketika berdiet, kerana banyak bahan yang sukar dicernakan dan akan menyebabkan perut menggelembung.

Mengurang Pengambilan Garam

Jangan makan gelojoh, kerana ketika anda menelan terlalu cepat, udara tertahan dalam usus dan membentuk gas yang dapat mengakibatkan penggelembungan perut. Duduk ketika makan dan kunyah makan secara perlahan-lahan. Makanan yang t ida k terkunyah menjadi bahagian-bahagian kecil t ida k dapat dicerna dengan sempurna yang kemudian menghasilkan banyak gas yang menimbulkan penggelembungan

Makan perlahan-lahan

Terlalu banyak garam dalam diet menambah lebih sodium terhadap cairan tubuh yang memperlambatkan mekanisme sehingga mendorong air keluar dari sel. Akibatnya perut terasa penuh dan menggelembung.

Pengambilan Serat

Serat adalah elemen penting dalam diet, tetapi untuk mengimbangi penyimpanan air yang menyebabkan penggelembungan, makanlah serat dalam buah-buahan seperti epal dan pear yang memiliki banyak kandungan air.

Awasi Ubat-Ubatan

Perut yang mengembang adalah kesan sampingan dari pengambilan ubat. Aspirin kadang-kadang menyebabkan masalah perut yang mengakibatkan sembelit dan penggelembungan, termasuk pil kontrasepsi.

Hindari Sembelit

Sembelit didefinisikan sebagai memiliki lebih sedikit dari tiga kali buang air besar dalam seminggu atau jika terlibat ketegangan. Akibatnya perut terasa bertambah besar. Untuk merangsang isi perut, tingkatkan pengambilan serat dari buah-buahan dan sayuran, amalkan secara berterusan untuk menghindari fermentasi dan pengeluaran gas yang berlebihan.

Bersenam

Olahraga atau bersenam akan membantu menggerakkan cairan dalam perut yang dapat menyebabkan perut besar dengan mendorongnya keluar dari jaringan dan masuk aliran darah di mana akan dikeluarkan sebagai peluh atau dibawa ke hempedu untuk dikeluarkan sebagai urin. Senaman yang disarankan seperti aerobik.

Tips for older drivers

Motoring magazine Drive, published by Automobile Association of Malaysia, in its May/June issue, listed five common ageing factors that can affect a person’s driving performance – loss of visual clarity, diminished hearing, changes in physical strength, psychological changes and slower reaction time.The magazine says that loss of vision, hearing and physical strength can happen so gradually that the symptoms go unnoticed until older drivers are faced with an emergency that they are no longer able to handle.

However, by being aware of these age-related changes and by learning how these factors can affect their driving, older motorists can learn to compensate for these losses and continue to become better drivers.

Among the suggestions are:

For sensitivity to the sun, wear sunglasses designed to reduce glare. They should also limit night driving.

Decreased peripheral vision can lead to failure to yield to right-of-way. Avoid wearing eyeglass frames with wide and heavy temples for it can restrict side vision. Drivers can compensate for loss of side vision by moving the head and eyes left to right several times.

Blind spots – always turn and glance over the shoulder before changing lanes.

When entering/leaving highways, accelerate to the speed of traffic and enter the highway by merging into traffic at the safest point.

Increase the distance between you and the car in front to allow you more time to react in any situation.

Don’t consume alcohol when driving. The ageing process slows down the metabolism rate and affects the elimination of alcohol from the body. About 50% of all medications regularly taken by older persons can interact with alcohol, causing serious adverse reactions.

The elderly should not be discriminated from driving if they are healthy. They should be aware of their abilities or lack of abilities and compensate them to ensure their safety as well as that of other road users. Family members and friends should be supportive of them and accompany them when necessary as well as offer observations and advice.

Snore No More!

Unlike some smokers, most snorers really do want to quit. To prevent/subdue snoring, try the following tactics:

  • Sleep and wake up at the same time every day.
  • Use extra pillows to raise the head of your bed by 8-10 cm. This facilitates airflow.
  • Have a light dinner, at least 3 hours before bed.
  • Don’t eat dairy products before bedtime.
  • Avoid alcohol in the last 4 hours before bed (alcohol relaxes the throat muscles).
  • Stop smoking.
  • Avoid sleeping pills, tranquillisers, antihistamines — they tend to depress the central nervous system, make the tongue floppy and throat muscles loose.
  • Place a container of water in the room to increase humidity. A dry throat vibrates more than a moist one.
  • Get your partner/roommate to roll you on your side when you snore.
  • Sew a tennis ball to your pyjama top near the small of the back. This ensures you lie on your side.
  • If overweight, go on a fitness regimen to firm up and lose weight.
  • Use specially designed adhesive (nasal) strips that lift the nostrils and facilitate nasal breathing. Studies have shown that such nasal strips reduce snore volume, daytime sleepiness, and mouth dryness.
  • Unfortunately, most other anti-snoring devices usually work only by keeping the snorer awake.

Sekiranya anda dirompak

Sekiranya anda dirompak dan dipaksa untuk mengeluarkan wang akaun anda daripada mesin ATM, anda boleh meminta bantuan cara senyap dengan memasukkan no Pin anda di mesin ATM cara terbalik. Sebagai contoh jika no Pin anda adalah 123456, jadi anda harus memasukkan nombor 654321. Mesin ATM akan mengenalpasti nombor tersebut adalah nombor yg diterbalikkan daripada nombor yg sebenarnya melalui kad anda yg masukkan ke dalam mesin tersebut. Mesin ATM akan tetap mengeluarkan wang tunai seperti biasa, tapi apa yang kita tidak ketahui, pihak Bank dengan segera akan menghantar pihak berkuasa (Polis) kepada anda. Perkara ini pernah disiarkan di TV baru-baru ini dan ia menyatakan kaedah ini jarang diguna disebabkan ramai orang tidak mengetahui akan kewujudan sistem yg seumpama ini.

REMOVING GALLSTONES NATURALLY

Gallstones may not be everyone’s concern. But they should be because we all have them.  Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer. “Cancer is never the first illness,” Chiu Nan points out. “Usually, there are a lot of other problems  leading to cancer.

In my research in China , I came across some materials which say that people with cancer usually have stones.  We all have gallstones. It’s a matter of big or small, many or  few.

One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a heavy meal. You feel like you can’t digest the food. If it gets more serious, you feel pain in the liver area.” So if you think you have gallstones, Chiu Nan offers the following method to remove them naturally.

The treatment is also good for those with a weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder are closely linked.

Regimen:

1. For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day. Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.

2. On the sixth day, take no dinner.

3. At 6 PM, take a teaspoon of Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water.

4. At 8 PM, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

5. At 10 PM, take half cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the stones to ease their passage.

PS. 1cup=250ml,  ? cup lemon juice=3 lemons (aprox.)

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools.  “Usually they float,” Chiu Nan notes. “You might want to count them. I have had people who passes 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. Very many.”

“Even if you don’t  have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some. It’s always good to give your gallbladder a clean-up now and then.
